This year, in honor of our arts-loving venue, Lowe Mill A&E, we’re giving a special focus to our “Indie” creators, makers, and performers. For the first time, we’re featuring “Workshop Friday” where you can spend time with our amazing guests in unique, small workshops. On Saturday, we’ll be focusing on our very packed day of panels that will lead up to our always-popular Cosplay Contest. And don’t forget, our guests will sign any item you bring them for free!

Voice actor Bob Carter is a nice guy who plays some very tough guys! Come meet this voice acting legend! His panel promises to be one of our best on Saturday! Some of Bob's many credits: Sig in Full Metal Alchemist, Bojack in Dragonball Z, Shao Kahn and Baraka in Mortal Kombat 9, Balrog in Street Fighter, Gorobei Katayama in Samurai 7. He also worked on Smite, Halo Wars, Lonely Planet, Atari Zoids, and Ghostbusters.
Georges Jeanty is a veteran comic book artist for Marvel and DC Comics. He is best known for being Joss Whedon's hand-picked artist for the Buffy and Serenity comic books at Dark Horse Comics. He has drawn long runs of the New York Times bestselling Buffy series. The series picks up Buffy's story from where the TV series left off. Georges has worked on dozens of books from Buffy Seasons 8-12. At Marvel he's worked on The Avengers, Deadpool, and has had a long association with the X-Men titles. At DC, he's worked on many Superman and Batman issues. Don't miss his big panel on Saturday! Visit his table and get your books signed for free!
We're honored to have the groundbreaking artist June Brigman with us this year! June started her career in comics in 1983 and went on to be one of the most significant Marvel artists in the eighties and nineties. She is best known for creating Marvel's unique team of superhero children, Power Pack. She's also worked on Supergirl, Star Wars, the X-Men, Barbie, and Spider-Man. She also drew the Brenda Starr comic strip from 1995 until its end in 2011! Lately you may have seen her covers on Marvel's Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, The Black Widow, Jessica Jones, and She-Hulk,. Don't miss her big panel where we'll ask her questions she's probably never heard like, "Where's the Power Pack movie?!" and "What was it like being one of the very few female artists in mainstream comics in the eighties?"
Dan Jolley is a writer for comics, games, and novels. In comics, he’s the co-creator of the Jason Rusch version of DC’s Firestorm. He’s also worked on many strikingly diverse comic book tiles like Doctor Strange, Aliens, Terminator, The Mummy, Conan, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Voltron, Star Wars and World of Warcraft. As if that weren’t enough, he’s done great work on five different Transformers video games, as well as the James Cameron Avatar, Dying Light, Mafia 3, and Chronos! Still not slowing down, Dan writes an amazing series of novels featuring Alex Unlimited. He also wrote the 2008 Iron Man movie novelization and co-wrote Star Trek SCE.
Tag Team Champion Wrestler, Half of the Legendary Midnight Express, Dennis Condrey. Dennis started wrestling around Tennessee and Alabama in 1973. He formed the "Midnight Express" with Randy Rose in 1980. He is best known for his appearances with the Continental Wrestling Association, Jim Crockett Promotions and World Championship Wrestling in the 1970s and 1980s. As our resident wrestler Joel Bogomat says of him, "He's wrestled the great ones!"
Roy Richardson is a veteran comic book artist. His work for Marvel Comics includes the X-Men, Iron Man, The Avengers, The New Mutants, and the Fantastic Four. At DC, he’s worked on Superman, The Flash, Firestorm, Hawkworld, Booster Gold, and the Forever People. He’s also worked frequently on various Star Wars series. He’s also worked on some great projects with his wife, June Brigman, also a guest at our show! Check out their recent covers for books like Ant-Man and the Black Widow! Be sure to get both June and Roy to sign all the books they worked together on. It’s a great way to get two free signatures on one book and meet one of the coolest couples in comics!
Robert Green Hall of Almost Human has created some of your favorite nightmares as a director & FX designer. Hall’s creatures and effects appeared on some of the best geek shows of all time: Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Grimm, Teen Wolf, Black Scorpion, the X-Files, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Robert Hall and his Almost Human Inc has created FX makeup for films such as The Crazies, Devil, Vacancy, Super Bad, Prom Night, Pineapple Express, Paranormal Activity 2, and Quarantine.
As if brilliant effects work wasn’t enough, Hall has written and directed the slasher films Laid to Rest and Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2. In 2009 Robert Hall directed the web series Fear Clinic for FearNet and starring Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger).

Yumi King, originally from Nanjing in China, has come to America and taken it it by storm. A true internet Influencer with a sincerely positive DIY message, Yumi has amassed nearly 850,000 YouTube subscribers. Yumi proves that anyone can be creatively fashionable without breaking the bank. She also proves that you can succeed on the internet with a positive, can-do attitude, no negativity required! Her videos inspire people to start out on their own journey to a unique look. All young Cosplayers should come meet Yumi and get some amazing tips, advice, and stories from the YouTube front lines!
Yumi has not done many conventions so we’re especially proud to have her with us and show her a big Huntsville welcome! We’ll find out all about her on her Saturday panel, so don’t miss it!
Miracole Burns is back! Her latest job description is really unique… She’s the “Super Suit Supervisor” on the DC’s new live-action Doom Patrol series! Just when we thought she had topped out the awesome bar!
Miracole Burns is an actor, film/TV costumer, comic illustrative model, and regarded as one of the top 10 cosplayers in North America. Her cosplay has been featured Marvel’s ‘Becoming’ series, MTV Geek and the Emmy award winning documentary, ‘Four Days at Dragon*Con’. She portrayed Queen Noir in ‘Powers’, Ms. Marvel on ‘Avengers Assemble the Series’ and co-created the charity ‘Heroes Alliance’ which now has branches all over the world. Her Film and TV costuming credits include ‘X-Men First Class’, ‘Venom’, ‘Taken 3’, ‘Sleepy Hollow’, ’The Gifted’, ‘Black Lightning’ and many more.
Actor Mike Nicolosi will be familiar to you as the voice of the Clown in the Spawn animated series. He also acted in the cult classic “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead”. He’s made appearances in The Babe, Midnight Caller, and many more!
APPEARING SATURDAY ONLY: Former glamour model/actress turned writer Jocelyn Potter is the creator and writer for The Deciders comic series. She’s premiering work from her new comic book series Trophy Girls, a true story from her time in the entertainment industry. She is currently working on a new ebook, Bible Versus: The Virgin Mary vs. God, a tongue-in-cheek, modern spin on spousal and child support issues.
She has appeared with her twin sister Crystal in many shows including Bare Wench: The Final Chapter (2005), The Mummy’s Kiss: 2nd Dynasty (2006), and The Lusty Busty Babe-a-que (2008). She has also appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Discovery Channel, and Playboy.
As a fan, she has seen every single Dragonball Z episode (!) and is an avid HeroClix player. She’s also known to sing a Queen song or two, but don’t mention that.
With the new Swamp Thing series coming up, we’re thrilled to have Daniel Emery Taylor with us! Daniel started his career acting in the 1989’s cult classic “Return of the Swamp Thing” movie. Since then, he’s acted in Road Trip , Hell-ephone, and has over 20 Horror Movie Credits! He’s also worked as a director, writer, and producer!
Bobby Nash is an award-winning author. He writes novels, comic books, short stories, novellas, graphic novels, and the occasional screenplay for various publishers. Bobby is a member of the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers and International Thriller Writers. James Neathery is a professional Steampunk artist who appeared as a contestant on the TV series Steampunk’d.
D. Alan Lewis is a novelist, with over ten books to his credit. His first novel, The Blood in Snowflake Garden, was a Top Ten finalist for the Claymore Dagger Award in 2010. He is currently working on several other projects including a follow-up to Snowflake Garden.
Dana Fraedrich is the author of the steampunk fantasy series Broken Gears, which includes the Amazon bestseller, Out of the Shadows, and the forthcoming Raven’s Cry, a standalone tale of loss, struggle, and triumph. She is an independent author, blogger, dog lover, and self-professed geek. Even from a young age, she enjoyed writing down the stories she imagined in her mind.
Nikki Nelson-Hicks has been described by a fellow writer as the “unholy lovechild of Flannery O’Connor and H.P. Lovecraft.” An accolade she finds terribly amusing. She is an editor and writer for Pro Se Press. She is the author of the Pro Se Press Single Shot Signatures digital series, Jake Istenhegyi: The Accidental Detective. The first of the series, A Chick, A Dick and A Witch Walk Into a Barn. The sequel, Golems, Goons and Cold Stone Bitches, will be coming out soon. She also has a story in the Pro Se Press anthology, Once Upon a Six Gun. She has stories in Nashville Noir and Nashville Gothic (Parthenon Press).
Billy Martinez has worked in the comic industry since 1996. He has published his title Wildflower through Dog Star Press since 1998. Martinez has worked on Heavy Metal Magazine, The Sci-Fi Channel’s ‘The Chronicle’ and The Family Guy trading cards for Inkworks.
Sam Payne is a pinup & comic artist from Nashville. Some of his most recent works include variant covers for the Archie Comics relaunch of Betty & Veronica #1 and Josie & the Pussycats #1 as well as his self published Pop-Tartz pinup/sketchbook. All of these will be available at the show as well as various prints and original art.
Lastly we have Nathan Massengill. His comic book work on the first ongoing Deadpool series recently made Nerdist.com’s list of “The Seven Most Essential Deadpool Comics.” Additionally, he’s worked on many other comics for Marvel and DC, including many done by fellow guest Georges Jeanty! Incidentally, he also runs the con! He’ll be floating around the con looking after things and moderating most of the panels. Feel free to ask any con staff if you can’t find him. He’d love to sign your books or just say hi!
